Wheels

The wheel was a great invention. The first wheel was made about 5,000 years ago. It was heavy. But it was round. So it rolled easily. Children liked how wheels rolled. They wanted wheels for play. So parents made toy hoops. They put wheels on toy animals. They built toy carts, wagons, and chariots. Today, wheeled toys come in all sizes. It doesn’t matter what they look like. Toys with wheels have always been favorites!
