Beth D. Stevens
is a children’s author whose crafts, articles and stories have been published in national magazines like Family Fun, Highlights for Children, and Crayola Kids. She writes hands-on nonfiction books for kids and teachers and until November, 2006, wrote as a weekly column in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls Courier, “Kids At Play.”
As a parent and former teacher, I love to learn new things and teach others about them. I see my writing as an extension of the classroom except that I’m reaching more kids. My aim is to bring the love of reading, writing and crafting to people of all ages. I’ve found that when adults and children read books and do hands-on projects together, spontaneous conversations begin and relationships blossom. I hope you’ll dig into something interesting today!
